ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: There is a small hairline on the right side of the stock behind the lock. *F. W. HEYM 88B BOXLOCK EJECTOR DOUBLE RIFLE WITH SCOPE. SN 81883. Cal. .458 WIN. Mag. 25″ Shoe lump barrels have matted quarter rib marked “Paul Jaeger Inc. Grand Junction. TN” on unmatted portion between claw mount bases, which are matted with diamond pattern. File cut express rear sight has one standing and three folding leaves marked for 50, 100, and 150 yards. Silver bead front sight is longitudinally dovetailed into nicely shaped ramp. Tops of bbls are stamped “Made in W. – Germany” and “Krupp Special (logo) Laufstahl”. Rear of bbls and bolsters have inlaid gold line and border engraving. Bbl flats have German nitro proofs and are stamped with SN and “458 Win Mag.” Sling eye with detachable loop is soldered to bottom rib. Coin finished action with reinforcing bolsters features Greener crossbolt third fastener, non-automatic safety (“S” engraved), pin cocking indicators, and double triggers (front trigger hinged). Action is engraved with about 30% coverage of well cut shaded scroll. “Friedrich Wilh. Heym” is engraved on riband on bottom of action. Blued trigger guard has scroll on bow, and tang extends to steel grip cap. Nicely figured dark European walnut full pistol grip buttstock measures 14-3/4″ over red “Old English” pad, and features large shadow line right hand cheekpiece, and 26 LPI point pattern checkering with double line border. There is a sling eye with loop on toe line. Matching semi-beavertail forend has Deeley release and sliding button to make ejectors operable, or not. Drop at heel: Approx. 2-3/4″, drop at comb: Approx 1-5/8″. Weight: 10 lbs. 6.7 oz, without scope, LOP 14-3/4″. 30 MM Schmidt & Bender 1-1/4 – 4X20 Scope with heavy three post / crosshair duplex reticle is in windage adjustable claw mounts. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all of their original blue. Action retains most of its coin finish with some areas showing evidence of having been rusted, cleaned, and a bit pitted on top of action to left of top lever. Stocks have a few minor marks and scuffs from use. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time. Bores are excellent. Scope is excellent. Optics are bright. 4-40019 MGM21 (8,000-12,000)
