COLT BURGESS LEVER ACTION CARBINE. Cal 44 WCF. SN 3669. Standard carbine with 20” rnd bbl, full magazine, uncheckered replacement wood with carbine buttplate. The metal surfaces, except the buttplate, were nickel plated a long time ago. The rear sight is a reverse mounted Winchester Carbine ladder sight. There is a staple and sling ring in the left side of the receiver. CONDITION: Fair to good. 40-50% nickel remains with the balance a dark patina mixed with moderate to heavy rust pitting. It has a damaged lever screw and other screws are replacements or are battered. The replacement wood retains most of its custom finish. The forearm has a crack over the loading gate and a replaced chip in the same area. Strong dark bore with heavy pitting. Trigger return spring is weak. 4-50546 JR80 (1,250-1,750)
