*WINCHESTER MODEL 21 CUSTOM SKEET GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 9090. Beautiful custom “21” with 26″ bbls choked WS1/WS2 with concave matted tapered rib with Bradley red ivory front bead & silver center bead. It has ejectors & sgl selective trigger. Step side receiver is wonderfully engraved with a flying quail on left side, a flying partridge on right side & a flying pheasant on floorplate, all in wonderful detail. Sides of receiver, trigger guard, upper & lower tangs & opening lever all have very fine gold wire border inlay with a small flourish on each fence & top of receiver. “SKEET” is inlaid in gold on floorplate. Mounted with orig very highly figured flame grain American walnut with checkered beavertail forearm & straight stock, 13-3/4″ over a solid red Noshoc pad. Also accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum letter identifying this shotgun with “regular finish” & “regular grade wood” as having completed inspection March 23, 1936. Drop at the heel: 2″, drop at the comb: 1-7/16″. Bore restrictions: left – .010, right – .005. Wall thickness: left – .026, right – .023. Bore diameter: left – .606, right – .630. Weight: 6 lbs. 10.88 oz. This shotgun is engraved nearly identical to a 16 ga. Model 21 being sold elsewhere in this auction. CONDITION: Extremely fine.
