*WINCHESTER MODEL 21 CUSTOM GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 32077. Fine special order “21” with 26″ bbls choked MOD/IMP-CYL with ventilated rib having Bradley ivory bead front & silver middle bead. Rib is marked “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER”. It has ejectors & blued sgl selective trigger. Flat side receiver is engraved in “21-5” style consisting of vignettes of a pheasant on left side, a grouse on right side & a retrieving bird dog on trigger plate. Trigger is checkered. Mounted with very highly figured center crotch cut flame grain American walnut having “21-B” style carved beavertail forearm & straight stock, 13-3/8″ over an old leather covered pad. Buttstock has a gold oval initial plate engraved “AJP”. It appears to be orig, however the serial number does not appear in the stock channel under the lower tang. Forearm is original. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum letter fully identifying this shotgun as found & indicating completion on Sept. 26, 1956. Drop at the heel: 2-1/4″, drop at the comb: 1-3/8″ (letter indicates 2-5/16″ drop at the heel & 1-1/2″ drop at the comb). Bore restrictions: left – .010., right – .004. Wall thickness: left – .036, right – .027-.032. Bore diameter: left – .716, right – .727. Weight: 7 lbs. 6.4 oz. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Retains virtually all of a fine professionally restored finish to both metal & wood. Left ejector is a little soft, otherwise mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. 4-55533 JR30 (6,000-10,000)
