WERNER GROSHANS (American, 1913-1986) “UNTITLED”. Oil on canvas surrealistic scene shows skull shaped rocks which apparently have broken off the side of a rock cliff. They rest on the side of a sand hill and sand floor. Blue sky with gray and white cloud with a yellow to orange cloud. Housed in a fine gilt molded wood frame. Several exhibition labels on back including the Montclair Art Museum, Feb 1-Apr 4 1976 and Babcock Galleries, New York. Signed bottom right “Groshans”. SIZE: 37” x 27”.
