PATENT MODEL: ELECTRIC GAS LIGHTING DEVICE BY T. CAILTEAU. Original patent tag #223,548, dated Jan. 13, 1880. Glass cylinder between mahogany base with bun feet (one missing) and lid. This is joined together by three springs. Inside of glass jar is an arrangement of two cast iron planks with a semi-circular glass globe. Jar is embossed with inventor’s information. SIZE: 6″ t. x 4 1/2″ diam. CONDITION: Arrangement inside cylinder is broken, otherwise generally good. 1-1443 (300-400)
