DAUM NANCY COVERED BOX. Extremely rare covered box is decorated with a peacock feather decoration with pronounced eyes in medium to sapphire blue against the green plumage of the feathers which is all set against a blue to purple mottled background. This is absolutely one of the rarest Daum covered boxes that we have ever had the privilege to offer. The peacock eyes are padded, as in the best marquetry vases. Signed on the lid in cameo “Daum Nancy” with Cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 4-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-69393 (6,000-9,000)
