INTERESTING AND UNUSUAL LIFT-TOP BLANKET CHEST IN THE EMPIRE STYLE. The standard form Empire chest has a four-fifths hinged top with backsplash. The top drawer and the next drawer under it are simulated with two working drawers below. The piece is painted light green with darker green highlights. The engaged front columns extend to a turned leg. Also having turned back legs. Probably of Maine origin. SIZE: 43-3/4”h x 41”w x 19-1/2”d.
