PARKER MODEL GH DBL BBL DAMASCUS SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 102580. Early Parker with 30″ Damascus bbls choked FULL/FULL with concave matted rib, single bead and doll’s head extension with extractors & dbl triggers. It has early “G” style engraving with two flying ducks on the left side, two quail on the right side and two pheasants on the bottom with light engraving patterns surrounding. It has nicely figured buttstock with splinter forearm and pistol grip, 14″ over a dog’s head buttplate. The wrist has a very old gunsmith repair consisting of two large brass plates having been attached with numerous screws over the wrist on each side to support what was apparently a shattered wrist. CONDITION: Fair to good. Bbls retain 40-50% thin orig Damascus pattern. Receiver is a gray metal color. Wood, as previously noted, retains a light patina showing heavy wear. Bright bores with a couple of dents on the left side, good mechanics. From the collection of the late Bruce McDowell. 4-54610 JR210 (400-600)
