*RARE KRIEGHOFF MODEL 32 CROWN GRADE 4-BBL SKEET SET. Cal. 12 ga., 20 ga., 28 ga., 410. SN 3350. Spectacular 4-bbl set with 28″ bbls all choked SKEET/SKEET. They have ventilated ribs with Bradley white ivory front beads & metal center beads with ejectors & gold plated sgl selective trigger. Receiver is spectacularly engraved in typical crown grade patterns with two gold pheasants & a gold setter on left side, three gold ducks on right side, two gold partridge on bottom & a gold hare on trigger bow. All parts have gold wire inlaid borders. Side vignettes are very large & extremely well detailed. Engraving extends about 3″ up over chamber areas of top bbls onto ribs & bbl reinforcements. There are two gold bands on chamber ends & a sgl band on edge of bbl reinforcements. There is gold border around engraving on bbl bosses at muzzles. The 12 ga. & 20 ga. bbls are ported. Mounted with exhibition quality marblecake feather crotch cut French or Circassian walnut with an extensively checkered beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock, 13-3/4″ over a thin, solid rubber pad. It has a rosewood grip cap with a gold diamond engraved “RFS” & also marked “J.J. DOCKWILLER / GUNSMITHS”. Left side of sliding breech is marked “WAFFEN-REICH-DARMSTADT”. Accompanied by its orig, leather, dbl sided motor case with canvas cover, compartmented for gun on one side & all four bbls on other. There is a spare engraved trigger guard with gold wire on edges. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight with 410 bbls: 7 lbs. 10.56 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus, near new. Retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood. Checkering has no, or very little, hand grease indicating very little handling. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. Case is equally fine. 4-56669 JR638 (12,500-17,500)
