All this work is documented on invoice from Griffin and Howe, dated 7/10/01 which also indicates that a new hinge pin has been fitted. Also with the gun is an invoice from Purdey’s dated 9/21/29 outlining maintenance of this gun done at that time. There is a 3/4″ crack in forend on left side toward iron. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Drop is good. Ejectors are in time. Bores are excellent, bright and shiny. Case leather is worn through to wood in portions of back and front of lid, sides and bottom. Needs stabilization. Old replacement straps are good. Replaced handle is getting soft. Interior cloth shows long term contact with gun and barrels, but with the exception of one hole worn through from action, is intact. Purdey label is foxed and stained, but intact. Charge card is quite dirty, but legible, with some chips and compressions. Partitions are good and strong. Accessories are fine. 4-39199 MGM24 (12,500-17,500)
