*COGSWELL & HARRISON DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 41955. Beautiful little self-opener with 27-7/16″ bbls, choked IMP-CYL/IMP-CYL with swamped concave smooth rib having single bead and the maker’s name & address. It has Greener cross bolt extension and dbl bite with ejectors & dbl triggers. It is mounted in very nicely figured English walnut with checkered splinter forearm and straight grip stock, 13-5/8″ over a thick wood extension and has a silver initial disc on the bottom. The receiver is nicely engraved with fine foliate arabesque scrolls and delicate border patterns with about 60% coverage. Bore restrictions: left – .008, right – .009. Drop at the heel 2-1/8″, drop at the comb 1-9/16″. Weight: 5 lb 0 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about 95% fine strong blue that appears to be an old professional re-blacking, probably in England. Receiver retains traces of case colors in the sheltered areas with the balance turned silver. Wood is sound showing moderate wear with light nicks & dings, a few chipped diamonds on the forearm and right wrist and retains most of an old restored finish.
