WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 FLAT SIDE LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30 US (30-40). SN 3169. Early flat side with 28” tapered rnd bbl, Lyman pedestal mounted front sight, missing the bead and semi-buckhorn rear sight. The left side of the receiver is mounted with a Lyman Model 21 long receiver sight. It has uncheckered wood, with black insert schnable tip forearm and straight stock with crescent steel buttplate. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl retains 95-97% strong original blue with minor muzzle and edge wear and a couple of spots of rust. Receiver retains 95-97% strong bright original blue with a couple of striation lines on the right side and minor edge wear. Cartridge box is about 75-80% plum blue patina. Wood is sound and retains most of a professionally restored finish. Bright shiny bore. 4-51459 JR786 (3,000-4,000)
