SUSAN CATHERINE MOORE WATERS (American, 1823-1900) PASSING THE LIGHTHOUSE. Large oil on canvas coastal scene shows a rocky coastline with a tall lighthouse with connected building on top of rock cliff. Three figures with dog overlooking the ocean with small sailboat with four figures passing by. Several people are seen on top of the observatory of the lighthouse and several ships can be seen on the far horizon. Signed lower right “Mrs. Susan C. Waters 1884″. SIZE: 36″ x 52”.
