*PARKER CHE GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 191484. Built on a scarce 1-1/2 frame with 30” Acme Steel bbls choked FULL/MOD with tapered, concave, matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head rib extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Mounted with replacement, nicely figured, honey & chocolate, French or Circassian walnut with checkered splinter forearm & straight stock with raised teardrop side panels, 15-1/8” over a smooth, solid red pad. Receiver is unusually engraved with deep relief vignettes of a wild turkey on left side, a flying pheasant on right side & two flying ducks on floorplate, all executed in fine detail and surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns with maker’s name in a panel on each side. Current dbl triggers are replacing a Parker sgl trigger. Bore diameter: left – .735, right – .738. Bore restrictions: left – .040, right – .026. Wall thickness: left – .030, right – .027. Drop at heel: 2-5/8”, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight: 7 lbs 5.76 oz. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbls retain most of a very old, restored finish turning a little plum with some thinning over forearm area. Bottom of right bbl, under forearm, has an area of deep pitting with some lighter pitting on left bbl under forearm. Forearm lug has been reattached. Receiver is a cleaned, silver metal color. Forearm has cracks at rear edge with rust around forend metal; otherwise wood is sound and retains most of its custom finish. Ejectors are not functioning, interior mechanism rusted at one time.
