BEAUTIFUL W&C SCOTT & SON MONTE CARLO B DAMASCUS DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. SN. 50424. Beautiful high grade Scott with 30-1/8″ fine Damascus steel bbls, choked MOD / MOD . It has a flat matted rib with dbl ivory beads, cross bolt rib extension with dbl lumps, extractor and dbl triggers. The right bbl is marked with the maker’s name, model & street with the remainder of the address on the right bbl. The end of the rib is marked in a small panel “Scott’s Improved Bolt”. The bbls are not nitro proved. It has a full sidelock receiver with cocked indicators & is beautifully engraved with about 60% coverage foliate arabesque patterns & has a flying pigeon on each lockplate along with the maker’s name. The engraving patterns extend up over the fences, top of the receiver & appended metal parts. It is mounted with spectacular tiger striped French walnut with short checkered splinter forearm & Prince of Wales round knob stock with raised teardrop side panels 15″ over a leather covered pad. Drop at heel: 2-3/4, drop at comb: 1-1/2. Bore restrictions: left -.031 , right -.030 . Wall thickness: left -.023 , right -.030 . Bore diameter: left -.703 , right -.706 . Weight:7lbs 10.56oz. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbls retain 96-97% strong, light brown Damascus patterns. Lockplates retain most of their orig case colors, generally faded. Receiver has a couple of spots of bright case colors with about 30% faded case colors elsewhere and the balance turned silver. Wood is sound with the forearm showing moderate wear and retains most of its orig finish. Buttstock has had the checkering freshened and retains most of a beautiful professional oil finish.
