*RARE MARLIN MODEL 1893 TRAPPER CARBINE. Cal 38-55. SN A5303. Rare trapper carbine with 16” bbl, full magazine, and uncheckered wood with straight stock and carbine buttplate. Left side of the receiver has a staple and saddle ring. The bbl has square base front sight with homemade brass blade and carbine ladder rear sight. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 95-97% strong bright original blue. Receiver retains about 85-90% original case colors thinning toward the front and turned silver at the carry point. Lever retains 50-60% case colors. Wood is sound with the forearm retaining 80-85% strong original varnish and the buttstock most of a fine, professionally restored finish.
