HANDEL METAL OVERLAY TABLE LAMP. Handsome Handel table lamp has eight bent panels, each covered with a brickwork metal overlay design leading to a trellised skirt with flower garlands and wreaths encircling the shade. The garland and wreaths are back painted in green. Shade is signed on the interior with applied metal tag “Handel”. Shade rests on an Arts & Crafts style base with square foot and tapering sides leading to a square column with Arts & Crafts motif. Base is mounted with a single socket and is signed on the underside with raised block letters “Handel 5297”. SIZE: Shade is 19″ dia. Lamp is 22-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: From a private Virginia collection. CONDITION: Very good with one cracked skirt panel and minor wear and discoloration to finish on base. 5-60345 (3,000-4,000)
