*CASED PAIR OF GARBI DBL BBL SHOTGUNS. Cal. 20 ga. SN 10099 & 10100. Beautiful pair of assisted opening sidelock upland bird guns numbered “1” & “2” with 25″ bbls choked (1) MOD/IMP-CYL & (2) FULL/MOD. Both have smooth concave tapered ribs with sgl beads, third fastener, dbl chopper lumps, ejectors & dbl triggers with front triggers articulated. Ribs have maker’s name & address with a raised gold “1” & “2” at chamber end with a corresponding number on opening levers & on forearms. Receivers, lockplates, forend irons & trigger guards are beautifully engraved with about 80% coverage fine foliate & floral arabesque pattern engraving with delicate arabesque borders. Locks are hand detachable & receivers have side clips. Top tangs have “SAFE” in gold & trigger guards are right hand. They are mounted in matching, highly figured French or Circassian walnut with long checkered beavertail forearms & straight stocks, 13-3/4″ over brown Old English pads. Accompanied by a green felt lined leather trunk case for another pair of guns with J. Roberts & Son label in lid. Gun #1: Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Bore restrictions: left – .019, right – .010. Wall thickness: left – .022, right – .030. Bore diameter: left – .603, right – 615. Weight: 5 lbs. 14.72 oz. Gun #2: Drop at heel: 1-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Bore restrictions: left – .037, right – .025. Wall thickness: left – .025, right – .024. Bore diameter: left – .582, right – .598. Weight: 5 lbs. 15.68 oz. CONDITION: Gun #1: Extremely fine, near new. Has been fired but very little. Retains virtually all of its fine orig factory finish to both metal & wood. Stock has a few light scratches & forend one or two more. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. Gun #2: Virtually identical in condition with a few more scratches & slightly more wear on forearm. There is a bruise on top of wrist. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores.
