*ABSOLUTELY STUNNING F.LLI RIZZINI R-1E BY MASTER ENGRAVER MARIO TERZI W/GOLD. SN 2281. Cal. 28ga. 29″ bbls. Tapered, concave rib; single brass sighting bead; Mod/Full chokes; 2-3/4″ chambers; ejectors and sculpted sgl trigger. Top rib is marked FLLI RIZZINI-MAGNO V.T.; bbl flats marked 28.70 and date coded CD 2009. Bottom of bbl, at bbl lug, on left bbl COSTRUITO IN ITALIA ; right bbl NEW ENGLAND ARMS CO-MAINE and in smaller letters DEAC.INC.AMHERST, N.H.. The sidelock receiver is intensely engraved in the Bulino style with left sideplate vignette of pheasants and bust of a Labrador and right side with ruffed grouse and bust of setter. Bottom of receiver has two setters on point and woodcock in flight. These vignettes are painstakingly encircled with gold wire and incredible, miniature tight arabesque scrollwork. Hinge pin caps are carved w/ gold fleur-de-lis patterns. Fences are geometrically engraved with gold circles and pivot of top lever is surrounded with miniature, gold stars. Top lever has miniature, tight foliate, arabesque scrolls with gold wire entwined and a miniature gold shield. Top tang is engraved to match. Trigger guard is fully engraved with tight, miniature foliate, arabesque scrolls and mythical gold birds. This outstanding work is signed on right side of trigger plate Terzi & Gualdi. Mounted with stunning, exhibition quality dark Circassian walnut; fine borderless, flat point checkered straight grip; skip line checkered butt; and borderless, flat point checkered splintered forend with metal tip and exposed forend iron engraved to match above with gold inlay. Bore diameter: left -NA, right -.550. Bore restrictions: left -NA, right -.015. Wall thickness: left -.033, right -.038. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 5lbs. 9oz. LOP: 14-1/2″.
