HARRISON CADY (American, 1877-1970) “IN OLD IPSWICH, 1937”. Oil and India ink on masonite scene shows a dirt street with large white church having steeple with rooster weathervane. Several carriages and car with people on horses move on the street. Children and a woman with child walk on sidewalks and Colonial homes are seen under tall trees. Signed lower right. Housed in a fine carved wood frame with linen liner retaining an old label dated “1937” with title and price. Also a Vose Gallery label. SIZE: 25” x 30”.
