TWO LARGE HOMEMADE DOLLS’ HOUSES. 1) Circa 1920s-30s, this two story house has been over-painted with orange paint on part of the front and sides. The first story has a long porch with railing at the entrance. The house opens on side via two removable panels (one a possible replacement or has been trimmed). There are four large rooms measuring 17″ x 17″. The interior has been updated and finished with decals and fabric added later. 2) Circa 1920, This two story German house has its original cream facade with blue over-paint on the trim and roof. There are windows flanking each side of the large porch on the first floor and a center bay window on the second floor with side windows. A few decals have been added to the front facade. The main roof opens in two parts to reveal two rooms. The interior of the house has its original cream walls but a floor is missing that divides it into two rooms. The house has two cupboard doors in the back to open the house. A scene was painted on the doors of ducks swimming in a brook which was painted at a later date. SIZE: 38″ l x 46″ h x 26″ d and 42″ l x 41″ h x 24-1/2″ d respectively. CONDITION: Generally fair to good with part of base missing and loose chimney. The German house is good to very good with the painted surfaces showing some wear and scratches, especially on the porch roof, bay window roof and on the main roof.
