*RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 MUSKET. Cal 44 WCF. SN 184533. Rare Mod ‘92 with 30” rnd bbl, full magazine and full length forearm with three bands, sling swivels and a saber bayonet lug on the front band. It has an 800 yd musket-style ladder sight with uncheckered wood and straight stock with musket buttplate with trap. Accompanied by a Winchester Gun Museum letter dated 1974 signed by T.E. Hall indicating this musket was shipped with a bayonet on March 5, 1902. CONDITION: Good plus. Bbl retains 10-15% original blue with the balance a dark patina mixed with scattered light pitting. Receiver retains 10-15% blue with the balance medium patina mixed with fine to moderate pitting. Wood is sound with fine hand-rubbed patina and a series of scratches on the buttstock with some staining on the buttplate. Strong bright bore. 4-50942 JR15 (8,000-12,000)
