Both barrel sets measure 23-5/8″have instruction warning and “Use factory loaded ammunition only” and “Krieghoff Int. Ottsville, PA” on the top left bbl and are fitted for Recknagel removable scope mounts, and NECG high vis rear sight fitted to engine turned quarter rib, and terminate in a high vis front sight mounted on high ramps. Bottom of the 500/416 bbls are marked w/ caliber “Krieghoff Ulm” “587” nitro proofs SN “002165”. 9.3 x 74R Bbls are marked w/ caliber, “Germany”, “Krieghoff Ulm” nitro proofs, “A01636”, “158”, and SN “002165”. Coin finished action is marked “Krieghoff Classic” and “Germany” on the bottom, and has stylized scroll engraving. Right side of the action has a lion engraved and the left a cape buffalo. Rifle features the unique Krieghoff cocking, de-cocking, and safety slide on top tang. Lightly streaked European walnut full pistol grip buttstock measures 14-5/8″ over black Pachmayr “Old English” rifle pad and features 18 LPI checkering w/ double line border, and a left hand cheek piece. The schnable tip semi beaver tail forends have Deeley and Edge releases, and wood and checkering to match buttstock. Weight w/ 93x74R bbls: 9 lbs 0oz. Weight w/ 500/416 bbls: 10 lbs 10.6oz. Rifle comes in a plastic Blaser case w/ 3 combination locks. PROVENANCE: Copy of targets. Krieghoff catalog and 2004 price list. CONDITION: Excellent. Both sets of bbls retain 99% orig blue, w/ a few marks on the 500/416 bbls from use. Bores are bright and shiny w/ little evidence of use. Action shows 99% of its coin finish. Stocks retain 97% w/ nicks and dings from use, mostly on the right side near the cheek piece. There are a couple of fairly deep dents on the bottom of the forend of the 500/416 bbls.
