*ABBIATICO & SALVINELLI SPECIAL ORDER HAMMER PIGEON GUN WITH CASE. SN 317. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 27-5/8″ Chopper lump bbls with high concave rib are marked “Abbiatico & Salvinelli” on top of left bbl. Rib is engraved “Esemplare Unico Costruito Espressamente per Gianoberto Lupi con Parti Componenti Speciali da lui Stesso Forniti”. Bottoms of bbls and bbl flats have Italian nitro proofs for 70mm chambers. Flats are stamped “A & S”, “Abbiatico & Salvinelli”, “Made in Italy”, and SN. Bottom of rear lump is stamped “Dante Mario” and “Remo Tony”. Very finely filed and polished coin finish top lever action features double triggers with front trigger hinged. Bar action locks have beautifully filed serpentine hammers. Action and locks have only border engraving with small scroll flourishes. Bottom of action is engraved “Abbiatico” “Salvinelli” in lozenge shaped device with floral center. All screwheads are engraved. Trigger guard has initials “GL” engraved on bow, and SN is inlaid in gold at grip. Streaked European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 15-1/4″ over Silvers type pad, and features drop points, diamond hand, and 28 LPI point pattern checkering with line border. Long matching splinter forend has Anson release with gold inlaid shield and oak wreath device marked “A & S” in central diamond. Bore diameter: left -.727, right -.726. Bore restrictions: left -.036, right -.015. Wall thickness: left -.030, right -.034. Drop at heel: 1-15/16″, drop at comb: 1-1/8″. Weight: 8 lbs. 1 oz, LOP 15-1/4″. Good quality tan leather case has stitched leather corners. Interior is lined with red velvet, with stitched leather A & S label. CONDITION: Near new, with only minor marks on buttstock from handling and use. Gun appears to have never been fired after proofing. Case leather has a few minor scuffs. Straps are good.
