*FABIO ZANOTTI HAMMER PIGEON GUN WITH CASE. SN 5274. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 28-1/2″ Chopper lump bbls with raised concave matted rib are engraved “Fabio Zanotti da Bologna” and “Acciaio Especiale S. I. A. U.” on tops. Top of left bbl is also engraved “Costruito per Cianoberto Lupi”. Bottoms of bbls and bbl flats have Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers. Flats are stamped with SN and “Fabio Zanotti Bologna”. Coin finished action has nicely filed fences and beads, and features double triggers, with front trigger articulated. Bar action sidelocks have serpentine hammers. Action and locks are engraved with 50% coverage of well executed scroll and bouquet engraving, and “Fabio Zanotti da Bologna” is in arched riband on bottom of action. Blued steel trigger guard has scroll engraving, and SN on grip. Nicely mottled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 15-3/8″ over 1-1/2″ wood extension, with checkered butt, and features nicely cut 28 LPI point pattern checkering with double line borders, and drop points. Matching splinter forend has Anson release with inset gold figure of Neptune in central diamond. Bore diameter: left -.726, right -.728. Bore restrictions: left -.030, right -.015. Wall thickness: left -.030, right -.036. Drop at heel: 2-3/16″, drop at comb: 1-5/8″. Weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz, LOP 15-3/8″. Nice quality leather case has sliding button lock, and is lined with dark green cloth with covered compartment. CONDITION: Excellent, showing very little use since new, with only a very few nicks and marks from handling, mostly on buttstock. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Locks are crisp. Hammers are a bit loose on tumblers. Bores are excellent with no visible imperfections. Case is excellent, with some minor scuffs. Interior cloth is excellent. 4-39356 (6,500-9,500)
