*RARE BROWNING SUPER LIGHT 410 28″ BARREL WITH CASE. SN 571J83. Cal. 410. 28″ bbls, matted tapered vent rib with sgl silver sighting bead, 3″ chambers, MOD/Full choke, ejectors, sgl selective trigger. Left side of bbl marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q./MADE IN BELGIUM BY FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTALL”. Right side “SPECIAL STEEL .410 GA. SHELLS – 3″.” Grade 1 rounded receiver with fine leafy and floral scroll. Mounted with nicely figured dark walnut, checkered straight grip, 1/2″ black decelerator pad, gold initial oval engraved “WRM”, checkered schnable tip forend. Bore and choke measurements are N/A. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Weight: 6 lbs. 3 oz. LOP 14-1/4″. Accompanied by Browning tan luggage case with white fuzzy interior. Information accompanying gun shows that in 1984 40 super light 410 with 28″ bbls were produced, 15 are part of 5-gun sets and 25 singular guns. These guns were all sold through Bill Jacqua and Tom Koessl. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 98-99% orig blue with a few tiny handling marks and faint rub line from forend. Receiver retains 98-99% orig blue with just a few tiny handling marks. Stock is sound with good checkering, a few small handling marks in fine oil finish. Forend is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks in fine oil finish. Mechanics are crisp with strong ejectors, mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety and nice shiny bores. Browning luggage case is near new with only some minor scuffing to exterior and nice clean interior. 4-40254 BDT15 (6,500-8,500)
