*COMPOSED TRIPLET SET OF BERETTA 687EELL OVER AND UNDERS WITH 3 GUN CASE. SN N20130B & N20131B & L94257B. Cal 20 ga. This 3 gun set is composed of a consecutive number pair which are guns 1 & 2, with gun 3 being added at a later date. All guns have 28″ bbls, with filed vent ribs, and sgl sighting beads. Guns 1 & 2 have Teague screw in chokes, and gun 3 is choked IMP.MOD/MOD. All guns have 3″ chambers, ejectors, guns 1 & 2 have sgl selective trigger, and 3 is a non-selective sgl trigger. Rib of each gun has gold #1, 2 or 3. The side plated receivers of guns 1 & 2 have matching engraving of floral and foliate scroll with left plate having pheasant scene and right plate woodcock scene. Bottom of receivers are marked in a banner “P. BERETTA/S 687 EELL/ DIAMOND PIGEON”. The right side of trigger plate on each gun is signed “BOTTEGA C. GIOVANELLI”. Trigger bow of each gun is marked with gold 1 or 2. Both guns mounted with nicely figured dark streaked walnut, checkered straight grip, brown decelerator recoil pads, gold ovals engraved “CRN”, schnabel field style forend with checkered side panels, and small gold oval engraved 1 or 2. Gun 3 has different engraving with left plate, 2 ducks in flight, and right plate with 3 snipe, bottom of receiver has woodcock in flight and marked “P. BERETTA/ S687 EELL/ DIAMOND PIGEON”. Right side of trigger plate is signed by “BOTTEGA C. GIOVANELLI”. Mounted with highly figured walnut, checkered straight grip, black “KICKEEZ” pad, blank gold oval, field style schnabel forend with checkered side panels, and gold 3 on forend latch. Set 1) Bore diameter: top -.625, bottom -.625. Bore restrictions: top -SC, bottom -SC. Wall thickness: top -.041, bottom -.043. Drop at heel: 1-11/16″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 6lbs. 1oz. Brass plate outside top lid is engraved “AP”. CONDITION: Very fine. Guns 1 & 2 each have most of their orig bbl blue with just a few minor tiny nicks & scratches. Receivers have a bright clean silver finish. Stocks are sound with good checkering, most of their orig finish with a few minor nicks & scratches and each show a little hand worn patina. Forends are sound with good checkering, some minor handling marks, orig finish, blended with some hand worn patina across bottom. Gun 3 appears to be near new with virtually all of its orig bbl blue, one or two minor little scuff marks. Receiver is bright and clean with its orig silver finish. Stock is sound with sharp checkering and only a few minor marks in its orig finish. Forend is sound with sharp checkering, some minor handling marks and retains all of its orig finish. Mechanics are crisp on all guns, with auto-safety on guns 1 & 2, non-auto on gun 3, strong ejectors on all and bright shiny bores. Guns 1 & 2 have seen minimal use and 3 appears to be test fired only. Case is in excellent condition with some minor scuffing to exterior.
