GROUP OF HAND-PAINTED CHINA, INCLUDING SIX OYSTER PLATES. Late 19th century. Six Paris Porcelain handpainted oyster plates; a seven-piece Limoges dessert set with handpainted floral sprays and gold gilt scrolling edges; seven reticulated gilt- and floral-decorated dessert dishes, artist signed and dated 1892; a nice Art Noveau milk pitcher with elephant handle decorated with yellow irises, dragonflies, and ethereal figure with hat, artist signed and dated 1882, marked “LV.W.” within a diamond; an unsigned cider mug with gilt dragon handle; and a Limoges three-handled floral-decorated vase. SIZE: Oyster plate: each 8-1/4″ dia. Tray: 15-1/2″ l. Vase: 7″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill and Thomaston estate. CONDITION: Two oyster plates with minor rim flecks. Dessert set with one shallow chip on tray edge, and minor chips on two plates. Mug with tiny paint chips on base rim. Vase with minor gilding loss to rim. 9-93704 (600-900)
