LEVI WELLS PRENTICE (American, 1851-1935) STILL LIFE WITH HAT AND EGGS. Oil on canvas still life scene shows a brown hat filled with eggs that have spilled out onto a straw floor. One egg is cracked. Unsigned on front but signed on back of canvas “L.W. Prentice”. Housed in a period carved wood and gesso frame with a pierced decorative border. SIZE: 14” x 20”.
