CLOSED MOUTH FRENCH E. D. BEBE. 1890s bisque head doll, with blue glass paperweight eyes, pierced ears, well painted eye lashes and eyebrows. On her original fully jointed French wood and composition body retaining original finish. She wears a lamb’s wool wig over cork pate, antique black mid stockings, antique black French leather shoes, impressed “12” on the soles and dressed only in white cotton undergarments. SIZE: 26-1/2″ (67 cm). CONDITION: Body finish excellent with only minor wear at joints, bisque head very good with slight kiln dust speckling on nose tip, and minor firing flaw between upper lip and nose. 1-7885 (3,000-3,500)
