RARE PLANTER’S PEANUT FIGURAL SCALE. This fantastic Mr. Peanut’s scale has always been a very desirable collectable. So much so that between 30 and 40 years ago, an entrepreneur made a limited number of copies. This is one of those rare copies that were produced sometime around the 1960’s early 70’s. In doing so, he made exact duplicates of the Mr. Peanut figure and mounted them on old Hamilton scale mechanisms. The tremendous cost to do this resulted in only a few of these being produced. This is an exact copy and it is extremely difficult to determine the difference between the reproduction and the original $20,000 earlier versions. SIZE: 44″ tall. CONDITION: Scale is working without insertion of coin. Scale base in beautiful restored condition. Mr. Peanut in near excellent collection as he is contemporary. 1-27184 (5,000-10,000)
