*SCARCE PARKER DHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 216863. Built on an “O” frame with 30″ bbls and scarce ventilated rib with dbl ivory beads, doll’s head extension, ejectors and Parker single selective trigger. It has highly figured center crotch cut flame grain American walnut wood with checkered splinter forearm and capped semi-pistol grip stock with teardrop side panels, 14″ over an old solid red Noshoc recoil pad. The left side of the receiver has the vignette of a standing pointer and the right side a standing setter and four pheasants on the floorplate, all surrounded with very fine foliate arabesque patterns and the maker’s name in a ribbon on each side. The engraving extends up over the fences onto the opening lever and trigger guard. Bore restrictions: left – .024, right – .019. Drop at the heel 1-7/8″, drop at the comb 1-1/4″. Weight: 6 lb 15.2 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 96-97% strong orig blue with only minor muzzle edge wear and a small spot or two elsewhere. Receiver retains 75-80% strong orig case colors, muted and turning silver toward the front. Trigger guard retains about 60% orig blue. Wood is sound with the forearm retaining most of its orig bright varnish and the buttstock strong orig varnish that has been cleaned. Left side flat has three initials that appear to be “RPH”.
