PATENT MODEL: DRYING APPARATUS BY JOHN BONFIELD. Original patent tag #185,480, dated Dec. 19, 1876. Wood encased kiln, attached to a series of long, thick pipes with a rotating pierced cylinder on a pine base. Retains brass plaque with inventor’s name. SIZE: 18″ l. x 4 1/2″ t. x 8″ d. CONDITION: Drying mechanism is missing part of its roof, pipes showing mild bending and surface rust. Part of pulley system is detached, but present. 1-1507 (300-500)
