TIFFANY STUDIOS 9TH CENTURY DESK SET. Included in this set is note clip, note pad and pen tray. Having bands of carved ornaments and deeply cut strap work, this pattern is one of the most elaborate of all Tiffany Studios desk sets. 9th Century designs usually have grotesque animals associated with them. Tiffany Studios used creative licensing and used art deco looking animals such as a squirrels and ermine as featured in this set. Further accenting this pieces are many jewels of green and blue glass. Each piece is signed “Tiffany Studios New York” and numbered. SIZE: Pen tray: 9-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. Note clip: 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″. Note pad: 4-1/2″ x 7-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with moderate wear to pen tray and note clip. 5-62557 (2,250-2,500)
