*CASED JOHN RIGBY & CO. DBL RIFLE. Cal. 375 H&H. SN 381755. Made in Paso Robles, CA. This fine rifle has 26” bbls, pedestal mounted front sight and 2-leaf platinum line express sight with claw mounts on a quarter rib with the caliber engraved between mounts. Accompanied by claw mount rings containing a Leupold 1.5-5X scope with fine duplex crosshairs. It has a Greener crossbolt rib extension with dbl underlugs, ejectors & dbl triggers. Mounted with very highly figured, honey & chocolate, marble cake, Circassian walnut with checkered, square edge, splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with raised side panels and shadow cheekpiece, 15” over a Decelerator pad. Boxlock receiver has side reinforcements & side clips and is very nicely engraved with about 80% coverage beautiful foliate arabesque patterns with fine stippled background and a shoulder bust of a maned lion on the bottom. All the appended metal is engraved to match with about 4” of engraving over chamber area of bbls and about 2-1/2” on each side of muzzles. The engraver’s signature, “B. BURGESS”, is on the trigger plate. Grip cap is engraved with the orig owner’s initials “WMB”. Also accompanied by its orig aluminum Americase embossed on top with maker’s name and lined with blue velvet, embroidered in lid in white with maker’s name & crest. Additionally accompanying are instruction sheets & warranty. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new, probably unfired, retaining virtually all of its orig factory finish with strong bright blue bbls & bright metal receiver, having been polished from case coloring for engraving. Wood is sound and retains virtually all of its orig factory finish with no discernible flaws. Scope is equally new, as is the case. 4-31158 JR452 (15,000-20,000)
