IN THE MANNER OF HERTER BROS. FINE AESTHETIC MOVEMENT INLAID CHERRY AND MAHOGANY POOL CUE CABINET. Second half 19th century. The rectangular cabinet of etagere form, headed by a carved gallery with architectural cresting above a concave frieze of stylized spades over an applied panel with carved floral rosettes and inlaid floral plaque above the etched and beveled glass door opening to an interior fitted for pool cues and flanked by spiral-twist ribbon inlays, the whole further flanked by three display shelves backed by incise-carved panels with turned columnar supports.
