JAPANESE SILVER AND IVORY CANE WITH ANIMALS. This most unusual cane depicts a silver monkey clutching and ivory monk fish in one hand while grappling with an ivory turtle over another fish in the monkeys other hand. Shaft is fine snake wood with a 1-1/4” brass ferrule. Circa 1890. A very nice cane. Silver is unmarked. SIZE: 35-1/2” l. Handle is 4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-28170 (800-1200)
