AMERICAN CLASSICAL CARVED MAHOGANY AND PAINT DECORATED WORK TABLE, PROBABLY NEW YORK. Designed as a center table, the rectangular top above the figured straight frieze fitted with bolection drawer above a deep bow-front drawer and opposing simulated drawers, the corners fitted with engaged columns decorated with painted and gilt leaftips, the whole joined to an acanthus carved pineapple standard raised on four heavily carved out swept legs, all acanthus carved ending in claw feet raised on casters. SIZE: 31-1/4”h x 21-1/2”w x 18-1/2”d. CONDITION: Very fine condition overall, with seams split on top center, brasses are replacements. Old professional repair on one leg. 9-90727 LG (3,500-4,500)
