CHINESE EXPORT ROSE MEDALLION AND FAMILLE VERTE PLATTERS. Second half 19th century. The first and largest example decorated with a vignette featuring a gathering of people engaged in conversation around a treed veranda within a gilt border enamel decorated with butterflies and flowers. The second oval platter showing a gathering of individuals at home within a garden. SIZE: 15-1/2″ l; 14-1/2″ l respectively. CONDITION: Very good overall with minimal and minor wear to gilding.
