*CUSTOM K ACTION SQUARE BRIDGE MAUSER RIFLE BY M. SILVER WITH SCOPE. SN 1027. Cal. 7 x 57. This beautifully finished little rifle was inspired by the Mauser Type M carbine, w/ flat bolt handle, full length stock, and steel muzzle cap. 20″ Round bbl is engraved “M. Silver No. 1027” on top w/ wraparound front scope base stamped “7mm”. The Kurtz original Mauser action is case hardened, and has decorative file work on rear of receiver ring, and along left side of action. Square bridge has been fitted w/ ghost ring aperture sight adjustable for elevation w/ wing lock. Bolt has nicely filed blued butter knife handle. Case hardened bolt shroud has been fitted w/ Model 70 type safety. Custom bottom metal has hinged floor plate w/ lever release, and outline has been decoratively filed. Trigger guard bow has 2 beads. Timney trigger also has decorative file work. Bolt stop spring, extractor, and safety lever have been fire blued. Nicely streaked and figured English walnut full length stock measures 13-5/8″ over skeleton butt plate, and features nicely shaped, double shadow line, right hand cheek piece w/ ogee transition, case hardened steel grip cap, sling loop, front sling bail, nicely filed muzzle cap, and 22 LPI checkering in Holland style w/ mullered borders. Leupold M8 – 4X SCOPE w/ duplex reticle is in claw mounts fitted to rifle so that aperture sight can be used when scope is installed. Weight: 7 lbs 2 oz. Weight w/ scope: 8 lbs. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Miller Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl retains all of its blue. Action retains virtually all of its case color. Bottom metal retains all of its blue. Some scrapes on extractor. Stock retains nearly all of a hand rubbed oil finish w/ only one or 2 very slight marks. Bore is excellent. 4-35724 MGM120 (5,000-7,000)
