Large oil on canvas coastal scene shows a Cyprus tree on a rocky ledge overlooking a small beach area with crashing waves. Beyond the coast stretches to high mountains with building clouds and sunlight cascading shadows and light on the far away mountains. Signed lower right and dated “1980”. Housed in a good bronze gilt decorative frame with linen and gold liner. SIZE: 36″ x 24″. PROVENANCE: Estate of Henry A. Rudkin Jr, (family of the founders of Pepperidge Farm).
