TEN-PIECE CHINESE EXPORT PART TEA SET. Mid-19th century. Comprised of teapot with cover, milk pitcher with cover, waste bowl, three tea bowls, saucer, two shaped dishes, and garniture vase. All similarly decorated, with humorous fanciful scenes of two men, a cow, and a bird. All with scrolling leaf gilt borders. SIZE: Teapot: 4-1/2″ h. Waste bowl: 5-3/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: Private collection of Dr. & Mrs. Winfield Gibbs, Sunbury, PA; Christie’s Auction Gallery, New York, Jan. 29, 1986, Lot 84, to the current owner.
