*MAUSER MODEL 66 DIPLOMAT MANNLICHER STOCK WITH ZEISS SCOPE AND CASE. SN G27562. Cal.243. Double set triggers. 21″ Round bbl has folding rear and front claw mount on mounting rail, removable sourdough bead, longitudinally dovetailed into checkered front ramp, is marked “Original Mauser” on breech w/ Oberndorf proofs and caliber “.243 Win.” Unusual telescoping action has sliding block, very nicely relief engraved w/ stag and hind on left side. Right side has a pair of running roebuck, and is marked on top w/ Mauser logo, “Mod. 66”, and “Mauser – Werke. A. G. Oberndorf A. N.” Bolt handle is checkered on circumference of knob. Dark streaked European walnut full length stock measures 14-1/2″ over a Pachmayr “white line” pad w/ Bavarian style right hand cheek piece, hard rubber grip cap w/ “Original Mauser” on aluminum disk, sling loops, silver oval w/ initials “T. E. R. Y.” and skip line checkering w/ beaded border. Trigger guard has relief acanthus engraving w/ stippled background. SCOPE is a Carl Zeiss Diavari- D 1.5 – 6X rail mount w/ 3 post reticle, claw bases w/ windage are installed. Green Brady canvas CASE w/ leather trim has leather label on lid embossed “T.E.R.Y.” Interior is lined in maroon cloth w/ Brady label, has cleaning rod, and keys. CONDITION: Nearly new. Metal retains near all of its finish, w/ scope mounts turning brown. Stock has a few nicks and dings from use. Bore is excellent. SCOPE is excellent, optics are clear. CASE has some scuffs.
