Additional Information: We cataloged and believed this to be Mutton-Fat Jade with pleasant color imperfections. One viewer has suggested it may be carved Agate. We do not guarantee either, we only share this with you, you will need to make your own decision.

FINE LEAF FORM MUTTON-FAT JADE DISH. 19th century. Carved in the form of a deep dish with inverted wavy rim and decorated on the exterior with foliate vinery rendered to incorporate the amber occlusions as part of each leaf. SIZE: 1-3/4″ h x 5-1/2″ l x 4-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: Robert Frederick Woolworth Estate, Monmouth, Maine. (F.W. Woolworth Store). CONDITION: Very fine with nicely polished and finished surfaces. Small jagged roughness to leaf edge on inverted rim. Otherwise very good. 9-23567 (400-600)
