*BROWNING EXPOSITION THREE BARREL SET. SN 17365. Cal. 20, 28, 410. 28″ bbls, vented hand filed ribs, dual ivory sighting beads, SKEET/SKEET chokes, standard chambers, and ejectors. Breech end of each rib is marked with “I”, “II” or “III”. Each bbl set has two bands of gold at breech end, gold filled lettering, gold wire and inlays on bottom bbl lug and forend iron. The standard frame has gold inlays of pigeons in flight on each side, a standing pigeon on bottom, geometric and foliate gold wire inlay on balance of receiver, all done with a blank background. This unique and beautifully executed work is signed on lower left side “L VRANCKEN”. Mounted with highly figured streaky walnut, raised side panels with fluted drop points, fine checkered straight grip, solid red Pachmayr recoil pad, blank gold oval. Each bbl set with its own multi point finely checkered forearm. Checking with Browning historian, finds this SN blank in the record books. LOP 14-1/2″. Accompanied with a black leather case with brass corners, Browning label on inside lid and green felt lining. CONDITION: Extremely fine. All bbl sets retain 97-98% orig blue with some minor muzzle wear, minor rub mark on bottom bbl from forend and a few typical light handling marks. Receiver retains its orig blue and gold inlay with the exception of a less than 1/8″ of tiny gold wire, the right side of frame has a couple small spots of flaking finish, probably caused by lining of case. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks, and retains virtually all of its fine hand rubbed oil finish. All forends are sound with sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks and retain virtually all of their fine hand rubbed oil finish. Mechanics are crisp with non-auto safety, mechanical sgl trigger, strong ejectors and nice shiny bores in all bbl sets.
