JANOS VASZARY (Hungarian, 1867-1939) “VILLAGE AT RWIERE”. Oil on board scene shows a tree lined road with buildings. Signed lower left indistinctly, possibly “Vas_ _ y”. Housed in an interesting frame that has a border of Dali like figures and animals depicting double headed lions, men on horseback and minotaur like figures. Written on back is the title and size in a newer hand. SIZE: 12-3/4″ x 16-1/4″. CONDITION: Good, there is a nail hole at top margin, some inpainting. 9-28963 (1200-1500)
