WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30 WCF (30-30). SN 43037. Standard grade rifle with 26″ rnd bbl, ivory bead hunting front sight and rare full buckhorn rear sight. It has nicely figured wood with straight stock & crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl & magazine tube retain 92-93% strong orig blue, slightly dulled, with an area of recent surface rust about mid-point. Receiver retains about 60% thinning orig blue, stronger on the right side with the balance turned silver. Lever retains 50-60% case colors, bright in the sheltered areas and the hammer about 90% dark colors. Stock has a hairline back of the top tang, otherwise the wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish with light handling & use marks. Good mechanics, strong bright bore.
