DOUGLAS RICKS (American, 1954-2003) “HUNTER OF THE WOODS”. Oil on masonite winter scene shows a Native American wrapped in warm fur robe leaning on tall birch tree with dog beside. Snow covered ground and evidence of a lingering snow storm. Signed lower right and dated “1982”. Housed in a fine weathered wood and partial gilt frame with linen and gold liner. SIZE: 24″ x 18″. PROVENANCE: Estate of Henry A. Rudkin Jr, (family of the founders of Pepperidge Farm). CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 9-98951 (1,500-2,500)
