WILLIAM RICKARBY MILLER (American 1818-1893) PORTRAIT OF A WOMAN. Small oil on canvas half portrait of a woman in black dress and paisley shawl wearing a white bonnet. Portrait is seen against a darker brown, which is surrounded by light brown. Signed lower left “W. R. Miller 1845” and “Buffalo” on bottom right. Miller worked for a short period of time in Buffalo before going to New York City. Housed in an antique gilt molded wood frame. SIZE: 10” x 8”. CONDITION: Very good.
